BHAI Appoints Shri Onkareshwar Pandey as Executive Director

Bhojpuri Association of India (BHAI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Shri Onkareshwar Pandey as the Executive Director of the BHAI, effective February 9, 2009. His new role will emphasize development strategies, promotion of BHAI as a brand, corporate/NGO partnerships, communications and relationships with BHAI office bearers. He will also be actively working to seek recognition for Bhojpuri as an official language in the Indian Constitution on behalf of Bhojpuri Association of India, interface with eminent leaders and provide momentum to BHAI's national level goals and objectives.
Shri Pandey ji is a bhojpuria evangelist and has been working for last 18 years for the Bhojpuria cause in various roles. He natively hails from Ara, Bhojpur district of Bihar. By profession, he is an editor/journalist who has always been in touch with mass media and he serves as the Executive Editor for one of the leading news magazines published in over 14 languages in India.

Bhojpuri Association of India (BHAI) is not-for-profit organization registered under the Indian Societies & Registration Act of 1860 to preserve, promote, protect, integrate and empower Bhojpuri language, culture, traditions and its speakers by serving as a lead Bhojpuri organizational platform in India and abroad. Shri Onkareshwar Pandey ji's passion, experience, knowledge and qualifications obtained in academic, government and private sectors will serve as invaluable asset to our team, as BHAI moves into the next exciting phase of its development.
