A. Membership Drive for Bhojpuri Association of India
BHAI is currently launching a massive membership drive to identify and involve members for accomplishment of short-term and long-term objectives for Bhojpuri language, Bhojpuri Culture and Bhojpuri society. The National Executive Committee is enthusiastic about new member enrollment and encourages BHAI members to spread the news about Bhojpuri Association of India and its goals and projects.
We need your support and ideas to build an unparalleled national level platform for Bhojpuri in India.
B. Establish Bhojpuri courses in colleges and centers of academic learning
BHAI National Advisory Committee member Prof. Shatrughan Kumar, who is the co-ordinator of Bhojpuri crash course at Indira Gandhi National Open University IGNOU, Delhi has prepared the syllabus for launching the foundation course in Bhojpuri from January next year. The Panel consist of Dr. Ramdev Shukla, member BHAI-National Advisory Committee and Dr. Prabhunath Singh another, member of BHAI-National Advisory Committee. BHAI’s Shatrughan Kumar and his team would work further to launch a certificate, diploma, degree and post-graduate courses within a couple of years. The foundation course would be of one-year duration and would consist of 16 modules. It has covered topics like the impact of Bhojpuri language on media, grammar of other languages, creative writing and computers etc.
Bhojpuri Association of India welcomes creation of Department of Bhojpuri in colleges in UP/ Bihar/ Jharkhand and strengthen the educational framework for sustaining Bhojpuri as a primary language.
C. Establish an online networking platform for Bhojpuri community to interact worldwide
BHAI-National Executive Committee member Mr. Sailesh Mishra, recently launched social portal Bhojpuri Express Network (BEN) www.bhojpuriExpress.com that has been making waves in an unprecedented manner on the Internet, especially among the Bhojpuri-speaking people in India and abroad. For the vast number of bhojpuriyas spread in several countries in different parts of the world, there was really no platform for people to get to know each other, share opinions, exchange photos, listen to Bhojpuri music or upload videos and our Bhojpuri community needed something like this in a professional way to bring everyone closer.
BHAI will use its official website and such online platforms for communication to make best use of technology for advancement of Bhojpuri and Bhojpuri society.
